Hi James,
I see on the 'Sound Affairs' Facebook page that you are expanding. Congrats that is great news!
My feedback has been delayed due to an unplanned switch from coax broadband internet delivery to fiber. With many networking impacts - hence the recent 12v BDC order.
So a couple of background points of perspective. First I ran a certain companies Symmetrical AC Power conditions for many years. Around a year back I re-challenged their use and ended up removing them as harming SQ. After a long search I abandoned using power conditioners. Trying a PlixiR BAC was therefore a big deal. The dedicated simple focus of the PlixiR design and reviews got me to try that BAC 400.
The second characteristic of my initial BAC experiment is that the PlixiR BDC is powering my internet entrance equipment (modem, router, switch) at a location separated from the primary audio/video system. There are two secondary TVs that also get their internet directly from the internet entrance equipment. The primary a/v system has additional networking gear.
Streaming music at the primary system and each TV was significantly improved at all three locations. When the BAC was moved to support one TV it helped that TV, but the improvement was greater at that TV if the BAC was applied to the internet entrance equipment; the signal source. Source first, no surprise.
The void between the voices and instruments creates a greatly improved contrast to the enhanced detail and textures of those voices and instruments. The full frequency spectrum is improved, but the enhancements to the low frequencies are the most dramatic. Sounds have fuller body, more details, and greater dynamics. So natural and addictive! Improved sounds stage and re-definition of the volume scaling due to the cleaner power and reference ground.
