… using the Elite BAC 1000 to power the CD player only. The sound becomes more transparent and lifelike. The low frequency has more bounce; the sound is more focused, the sounstaging more delicate. Orchestra music has better body and more refined. You can feel that using the Elite BAC 1000 on the CD player, there is changes to the resolution in the music. It becomes clearer and more detailed, but there is not much change to the tone color.
… with the Elite BAC 1000 powering the CD player and integrated amp (35W tube Push pull topology) … there is more layering to the sound. The sound becomes smoother and the whole musical presentation is more neutral and realistic. I believe this is the effect of the cleaner grounding when the system is powered by the Elite BAC 1000. The sound becomes much cleaner and the harshness of the full frequency range is reduced.
Conclusion.
After the testing, I feel the Elite BAC 1000 balanced AC power conditioner makes the overall music not as bland. Before using it, the sound is not bad. Upon using it then I realized we can still uncover more potential of the system. Regardless of the music’s clarity, body, texturing and the delicacy of the soundstaging etc, all these aspects improved.
